Watch House Café is a breezy, easy going café in the heart of West Bay on the stunning Jurassic Coast in Dorset. Set right on East Beach, it’s just yards from the sea and the stunning views.

The café has been completely refurbished and now offers extensive outdoor seating areas offering stunning views along the coastline across the harbour towards Thorncombe Beacon, Charmouth and Lyme Regis. Looking the other way towards Burton Bradstock you have the imposing golden cliffs that are so well known along this coastline. A great spot to see the Jurassic Coast in all its glory.

Inside you’ll find a bright, cosy and chic setting that shows off the cakes, drinks and sea food thats available. The large windows and folding doors brings the outside in making the decked area and extension to the café itself.

The menus have been designed to offer the best that Dorset has to offer from an early Fishermen’s Breakfast, through to our infamous Fish and Chips as well as many other options on seasonal menus. Check out the blackboards for our daily specials.

Summer evenings is a great time to visit and we will be running a number of events across the holiday periods, so please check the website regularly to see what’s going on, or sign up for our newsletter and receive regular updates.

Just inside the café is our ice-cream parlour, offering a range of Lovington’s ice cream as well as a selection of lollies, so you have the choice to sit on the deck and enjoy the view or the freedom to sit down on the beach.

Tim and Becky are ready to offer you all a very warm welcome to the Watch House and West Bay, so please drop in, have a coffee, a slice of locally made cake or stay for a meal. We look forward to seeing you.
